A preliminary report on the investigation into a plane crash that killed three Plainview residents should be available next week according to the NTSB. 46-year old Pilot Paul Waller, his 44-year old wife Tammy and 18-year old daughter Michele were killed when their Beechcraft Bonanza crashed and caught fire shortly after takeoff at the Hale County Airport around 9:15 pm Friday. It is expected to take more than a year to complete the crash investigation. Plainview residents gathered yesterday afternoon at Kidsville Park to release balloons in honor of the Waller family. A visitation will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors today from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be on Friday at 2 pm at First Baptist Church in Plainview. Donations also are welcome to the Waller Family Love Fund at any Prosperity Bank location.

Plainview City Council members will meet today at the Planview Convention Center for their work session. Council members will review items on the agenda for the regular meeting on Tuesday, June 9 at city hall. Today’s meeting begins at 11:30 am and is open to the public.

ECONOMIST RAY PERRYMAN SAYS THE EXPANSION WOULD MORE THAN PAY FOR ITSELF..AND IN FACT HE SAYS BY NOT ATTEMPTING TO COMPROMISE WITH WASHINGTON. THE STATE IS JEOPARDIZING THE FUTURE OF THE MEDICAID FUNDS TEXAS IS CURRENTLY RECEIVING.
